Downtown Osaka

Osaka is often called “Japans Kitchen” due to its vast variety of top quality food. The epicenter of this sprawling food haven is located just 30 minutes from our Minoh base of operations. This makes it easy to meet local friends, do street ministry or grab a bite to eat and see the sites.

Osaka’s downtown is a sprawling city only rivaled by Tokyo in size, yet it maintains a more laid back and open atmosphere where its easy to meet friends and get to know the people over a hot bowl of Tonkatsu Ramen.

Kyoto / Nara

The two most culturally rich areas of the country, Kyoto, and briefly Nara, served as the nations capitols for over a thousand years, only recently being replaced by Tokyo 150 years ago.

Around Kyoto and Nara you find endless gems of traditional culture and cuisine with plenty of photo ops. By train, located 90 minutes from Minoh respectively, neither prefecture is too far for a day trip. Carry a map and pen, and look like a gaijin; and you might probably meet a friendly stranger on the train.
